Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of YTBooks (the “Service”), provided by SideQuestWeekend Projects LLP (“we”, “us”). By using the Service you agree to them.

1. The Service

YTBooks is a browser extension and website for adding chapters and notes to YouTube videos and (optionally) syncing them. We may change or discontinue features over time.

2. Accounts

You’re responsible for your account and for keeping your credentials secure. You must provide accurate information and be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country).

3. Subscriptions, billing & cancellation

• Premium plans are billed through Polar on the cadence you choose.
• Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel anytime from the Account page; access continues until the end of the paid period.
• Lifetime is a one-time purchase granting premium access for the operational lifetime of the product — that is, for as long as we continue to make YTBooks available. “Lifetime” refers to the lifetime of the product, not the natural lifetime of the purchaser, and is not a guarantee that the Service will be offered in perpetuity. If we discontinue the Service, lifetime access ends with it.
• Premium purchases are non-refundable except where required by applicable law. We may grant refunds at our discretion on a case-by-case basis — just email support@yt-books.com.
• We may introduce, change, or discontinue our pricing, plans, features, and promotional offers at any time, at our sole discretion. Any change applies going forward and does not affect the price of a subscription term you have already paid for (changes take effect on your next renewal).

4. Your content

Your chapters, notes, and other content are yours. You grant us only the permissions needed to store and sync them in order to provide the Service.

5. Acceptable use

Don’t misuse the Service, attempt to breach its security, or use it to violate laws or others’ rights. We may suspend accounts that do.

6. Third parties

The Service interacts with YouTube and uses providers (Supabase, Polar, PostHog, and Loops). We’re not responsible for third-party services, and their terms may also apply to you.

7. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

8. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the prior 12 months.

9. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms.

10. Changes & governing law

We may update these Terms; continued use means acceptance. These Terms are governed by the laws of India, and you submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of competent jurisdiction in India. Contact: support@yt-books.com.
